Completely sad tonight..

Recently I blogged that I would be MIA from here due to some family issues. Sara is the only one I have confided in. She has been such a great support and friend to me and for that, I am so grateful to her.

I have been trying to deal with it internally, which has in turn made me very depressed. I have decided to blog about it, not for sympathy from anyone, but rather to just get it out of my heart and head.

My father, who is my best friend has been battling a rare form of cancer. It is called Angio sarcoma. It is in the bone marrow. They have found 3 lesions so far. Two of them are in the lower part of his spine and a very large tumor has eroded his jawbone. The one in his jaw is so large that he can barely speak and his jaw has unhinged. He can no longer eat any food and has been put on all fluids. (which he is not doing well with) He has been going to his Oncologists office almost on a daily basis so he can be re hydrated with fluids.
It has been a nightmare for my family and him. He was such a strong man. He has wasted away over the last 2-3 months since he was diagnosed. He was around 260 lbs and is now bordering the 160's. That is so much weight in just a few short months. On his good days, he'll get on the phone and say hello to me and at other times, he doesn't know who I am.

They were going to do surgery to remove the tumor and destroyed jawbone so he could eat and gain his strength but, the surgeon changed his mind. He wants him to begin chemotherapy to try and shrink it first. My oldest brother and I are not on board with his plan because of his physical condition. We both feel that he is much to weak at this point. I think my dad has just gotten tired of fighting. He is terrified of dying just as we are of losing him. We are trying to support him and whatever decision he makes but, it's hard. I want so badly to scream at him but, how do you yell at someone who is dying?

He saw his Oncologist today and they decided to begin chemo tomorrow. He will go every Tuesday for the next 3 weeks, then a week off and then back to 3 weeks on and then they are going to repeat all his scans to see if it's worked. I am trying to be optimistic but, again, this is a struggle. I have been trying to talk him into going with some holistic remedies too. Which he feels is crazy medicine. It has been proven that hemp oil cures terminal cancer as well almost every other ailment on the planet. Granted, it extremely illegal because all the pharmaceutical companies would be out of business and, we know the government won't allow that. You can make hemp oil yourself but, it's dangerous if you don't know what your doing. (and you need to be able to get your hands on quite a bit of weed) A pound can usually get you 1-2 months worth of oil.

The doctor has been telling us that although the mortality rate with this cancer is not very good in black and white, she feels that she can help him. I was believing that until I found out he was told today he is stage 4.

I went through this cancer shit with my mother many years ago. She had breast cancer. She has been cancer free for a long time now. She has been helpful in explaining what he is going through. Something I don't think anyone can really know unless they have lived it.

If anyone has any helpful info to share with me, please do! The more informed I am, the better I tend to feel.

Okay I've made a decision about a kitten, FINALLY!

As previously posted, I was trying to decide on one of those beautiful kittens. BY the way, thank you for giving me some great names to ponder. However, as cute as those babies were, they just didn't feel like the baby I was meant to have. I ultimately decided not to take either of them and continue my looking with the same breeder. I just needed to wait until they sent me a photo where I could say "that's the one, that's my kitten", ya know? That photo came today... The baby I selected is the one on the left. She is a Natural Point Tonkinese. I will be receiving more photos of her this week all by herself. She is currently 6 weeks old and, can come home on Aug. the 4th. I am super excited! Most of the names you guys gave me were for a pair of kitties so, I call on you again for some help in naming her. There are 2 names I am currently pondering which are Lady Fluffenbutt (thanks Simi) =) and Bella Donna. (which in Italian means beautiful girl or lady).

I do need help coming up with names for them both. Please list your names as kitty1 and kitty2 so I know which name is for which kitty.. Thanks!!

tagged

Looks to be that time again. =) I have done this tag before so I am going to change up all my answers from the last time. This one was sent to me by fabulous Penny over at Penny Lane. Please go check out her amazing site which is filled with delicious desserts, great music, precious pictures of Jasmine her siamese kitty, great shoes, always loaded with pictures of her and her besties and cute boytoy and writing that'll make you pee your pants!

TAG: show me your heart...Instructions: "with as much creativity as you can muster, show your heart in: a picture, a poem, a song (or piece of music), a phrase (or quote), an item of clothing, a place, and (just for fun) a Disney princess. if you want to join in, tag 6 more blogs."

My heart is my fur babies. These 2 are 2 years old now and beautiful but, their kitten photos makes my heart melt. The one yawning is Smokey and his sister Blue is sleeping. Mimi's arm is hanging over the pillow above him.

Fill me now with words of heart,so my joy may be complete.Kiss me now and be a part,of my love that's true and unique.Place your hand touching mine,so i'll always know your there.Talk to me with eyes divine, and tell me that you care.Sweep me off my feet at night, tightly keeping your hold.Whisper softly into my ear,Be strong, be proud, be bold.Caress me as I taught you how, your touch so warm and tender. If you do these things I tell you now,to you, i'll surrender. KLE 2009

The song to describe my heart would be... the song thats playing right now in the backround.

Quote: I had a dream!

I love this dress. Just very summery and me.
I love Hawaii. The sunsets are amazing!!

Every princess dreams of this moment so, I chose Cinderella's wedding picture.

was bored and found this..

Some really weird and fabulous hotels and Inn's..

The first 3 are At "Wagon Stays", the carriage rooms have balconies—perfect for kicking back with a pint of ale after a long day of going absolutely nowhere. The two-year-old Wagon Stays in Christchurch, New Zealand, features rooms with queen-size beds, computer-controlled showers, flush toilets, fully equipped kitchens, and satellite TV.

One of the "treesorts" at Out 'n' About Treesort & Treehouse Institute, just outside of Cave Junction, Ore. It's one of 18 unorthodox treehouses—some enclosed, some open to the air and the Douglas firs (and the bugs). Some units are perched more than 30 feet above the ground. Most of the rooms have modern conveniences such as sinks and refrigerators.

The next 2 photo's are the exterior and interior shots of The Hobbit Motel. Which is part of Woodlyn Park, a bizarre collection of lodgings in New Zealand, near the Waitomo Caves. The Hobbit Motel consists of two hillside burrows that are faithful replicas of the hobbit dwellings in J.R.R. Tolkien's books—right down to the circular windows and doorways, red-and-beige walls, and camouflaged exteriors.

The next 2 are of one of the coolest Inn's I think I have ever seen! The inside isn't anything to brag about but, I love the outside. LOL
Dog Bark Park Inn is a two-story, beagle-shaped B&B in Cottonwood, Idaho. And, yes, pets are allowed. At Dog Bark Park Inn, guests enter the structure from the deck that's constructed along the pup's rib cage. The sleeping loft is in the pooch's head.

The next 3 are really cool. Maybe not the best for someone with fear of heights though. Here's the Harbour Crane, at Harlingen, a port city an hour outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands. You and your guest can jump into the cockpit, seize the controls, and turn the 143,000-pound crane a full 360 degrees. Peer inside the Harbour Crane. Since 2003, the massive crane has housed a luxury hotel room for two roughly 55 feet above the harbor docks. Inside the Harbour Crane, you'll find that the lighting system is touch-screen operated, the chairs are Eames Lounges, and the structural steel has a certain sculptural elegance.

I'm not sure i'd be able to bring myself to sleep in this thing but, it was different. This is Das Park Hotel in Ottensheim, Austria, offers three 10-ton segments of drainage pipe, each 6.5 feet in diameter. You get a lamp, a mattress, a few sleeping bags, and a lockable door.

By far my favorite!!
Here at Giraffe Manor, one of the "guests" is curious. Recent human guests have included Keira Knightley and Mick Jagger.
Breakfast in the sunroom at Giraffe Manor in Langata, Kenya. The five-room property is arranged so that roaming giraffes can poke their heads into any open window or doorway and lick guests with their sticky, prehensile tongues.

pictures floating around today on the web and my comments

This picture makes me feel a little funny, like when I used to climb the rope in gym class.. Oh my.. Did I seriously just use a Wayne's World joke? LOL What the fuck is up with Becks hair here? I prefer my Becks to look more like the photo below this one.

Panty creamer photo of the day!

I can't begin to tell you how much I laughed when I saw the outcome from the Tony's. (vid. posted in another post) How pathetic is he that he tried to make the come fuck me face in pic. 2? Too bad it didn't rip that horrid weave out of his hair too! To think I used to get all and bothered for this fuck clown.

I am even more ashamed that I love Rock of Love and am anxiously waiting for season 15 to start soon. LOL I just enjoy seeing what retarded things 20 year old girls will do for a 40 something washed up 80's hair band lead singer.
